No marked cards but flowers on this day

The Qiqiao Festival is on lunar seventh July in China, which is also called Double Seventh Festival in English. It's a quite special day.

In fact, it's Chinese traditional day and there is a romantic but sorrowful story for it. It's said that Zhinv, the 7th daughter of the god Mother Wang, is a kind pretty fair who lives in the heaven. One day, she went into the Earth where hunman being lives and there Zhinv met her MR Right, Niulang. Zhinv and Niulan love each other at the first sight and they got married soon.

However, Niulang is a poor guy in earth and he can never go to the heaven where the Zhinv's family live. Soon after their marriage, Mother Wang knew everything and got very angry and didn't allow that her lovely daughter marry a poor human being. Mother Wang caught her little daughter back to the heaven and forbid Zhinv to come out to see Niulang, except one day, the Lunar 7th of July. Every year, Zhinnv and Niulang are looking forward to seeing each other with the help of Magpie Bridge(It's said that the magpies are moved by their love story and make a bridge to help Niulang to see Zhinv in the heaven. )

This moving story make the day the Chinese Valentines' Day. Though people don't have a holiday on the Lunar 7th of July. People always celebrate this day with who they love. It's a day that we talk about flowers, Chocolates and dinners rather than poker games, marked cards or infrared contact lenses.
